Product description

The automatic foot trimmer is used to trim the feet of hens and chickens in the poultry slaughter line.

OPERATION

The automatic cutter is suspended from a chain conveyor support structure. The carcasses transported on the stirrups of the conveyor reach the taking wheel which, while rotating, directs them to the cutting knife. The system for adjusting the knife and the taking-up wheel is designed in such a way that the cutting height can be set – according to the size of the bird being slaughtered – without having to stop the slaughter process. The advantage of this system is that the cutting knife can also be set so that, irrespective of the size of the bird, the cut is always made at the knee joint.
