The slotted sieve is used for pre-treatment of wastewater in various industries, particularly in poultry abattoirs, meat processing plants and wastewater treatment plants.

OPERATION

The unit has a large-volume pre-treatment chamber to reduce turbulence in the wastewater. In the upper part of the chamber there is an overflow whose task is to direct the stream to the filter cartridge. An adjustable aperture ensures an even inflow over the entire width of the screen and prevents rapid overflow of the liquid. The suspended matter is separated from the liquid as it passes through the appropriately shaped filter insert. The solids fall spontaneously downwards and the separated liquid flows into the main chamber of the unit. The size of the solid particles captured depends on the size of the slot and can be: 0.25 mm, 0.5 mm, 1 mm, 1.6 mm and others, respectively.
