TAIL FEATHER PLUCKER
Product description
The tail feather plucker type SO-1 is used to remove feathers from the rump of a goose carcass during the slaughter process.
OPERATION
The basic element of the plucking machine construction is a frame on which two shafts for plucking the feathers are mounted. Height adjustment of the device is performed by means of a mechanical jack mounted in the lower part of the plucking machine. The process of plucking (removing) the tail feathers should take place when the carcass is already scalded. The plucking machine is equipped with a separate conveyor mechanism (driven from the overhead slaughter conveyor), whose task is to position the stirrups on which the carcasses are suspended during tail feather removal. In addition, the machine is equipped with a compressed air system from a side-channel blower and a knife nozzle, whose task is to assist, by the force of the air jet, the insertion of the tail feathers between the plucking rollers.
