POULTRY SCALDER
Product description
The device is used to scald all types of poultry carcasses and thus properly prepare them for plucking.
OPERATION
Slaughtered and bled birds are transported to the scalding device on the slaughter conveyor’s stirrups. In the scalding tank, the bird is immersed in hot water for a sufficiently long period of time. The hot water penetrates between the feathers to the skin of the bird and allows the feathers to be plucked in the plucker. Penetration of the water between the bird’s feathers is made possible by pumps placed in the scalder. The most effective solution is to use special air turbines instead of pumps. These turbines not only prevent the hot vapour from escaping from the scalder, but force it back into the water,
causing it to be thoroughly mixed. Depending on the location and flow of the production line, the scalding tank can be single, double, triple or even quadruple path.
