A linear plucking machine, known as a box plucker, is used for plucking hens, chickens and ducks.

OPERATION

Plucking machine type SL-2 can be equipped with 64 or 80 plucking heads. Each head has 12 rubber fingers (a 64-head plucking machine is marked SL-2/64, an 80-head plucking machine – SL-2/80).Plucking heads are driven by a special endless belt, while each row of heads is driven by a separate electric motor, which is hidden in the casing. The plucking machine is equipped with hydraulic jacks, which allows the plucking head housing to be adjusted. Depending on the size of the poultry to be slaughtered, the housings can be adjusted accordingly in relation to the passing
carcasses. Plucker SL-2 is adapted for cooperation with conveyors and stirrups produced by “Szlachet-Stal”. If you have conveyors made by other manufacturers, please contact our company in order to adjust the plucking machine to the existing conveyor.
