The washer-plucker type MSK-1 is used for the thorough cleaning of the carcass from loose feathers and other residues left after processing in the linear plucking machine.

OPERATION

Poultry carcasses are transported on stirrups of a conveyor suspended between axially positioned guides which at the same time perform the role of spray-washing collectors. The cleaning section consists of rotating shafts equipped with rubber fingers of length L=265 mm. The counter-rotating shafts with rubber fingers and the water spray from the collectors thoroughly clean the residues, i.e. individual feathers, impurities remaining after basic plucking. The design of the washer-plucker makes it possible to adjust the spacing and working height of the plucking shafts and the water spray, thus adapting the device to the size of the poultry being plucked.
