The device is used to staple a column of live containers (there are 7 or 8 containers in a single column) and feed them individually onto double-row chain conveyors.

OPERATION

The stacks of containers are fed into the machine by a scissor conveyor placed directly in front of the sprinkler and the two-row chain conveyor of the sprinkler. Once the two stacks of containers are in position, the conveyor stops and the lifting table lifts the stacks to such a height that the gripper holds the second lowest row of containers. The table with the lowest bins is lowered and the chain conveyor brings the two bins out of the tumbler. Once the bins have been brought out, the table rises to the highest point, the gripper lets go of the bins, then the table lowers to horizontal so that the gripper can hold the second lowest row of bins. The table is lowered, and so on, until all the bins have been emptied from the tumbler.
